   Wellness with Wendy: In the Kitchen - Healthy Shopping Trip to Wilmington, NC
   Monday, Mar. 4 • 7:45am-4:00pm
   
   Come along with Wendy Bass, Recreation Leader /Fitness Instructor and One Day to Wellness coach, and learn how to “healthy shop” at some of her pre-ferred grocery stores: Trader Joes, Lidl, Aldi, etc. Transportation will be provided. Please bring money for shopping and lunch.
   
   You must complete the waiver form before leaving for the trip to Wilmington.

   Dawud Hasan will present the weekly Tai Chi Mind-Body Exercise class.
   
   9:00 AM The Beginner's Class will learn the 13 fundamental techniques of Tai Chi
   
   10:00 AM The Intermediate Class will serve as a refresher course for previously trained students.

   AARP Free In-Person Tax Preparation Service

   Mondays, Feb. 5 through Apr. 8, 2024 • 9:30am-2:00pm
   
   AARP Tax Preparation appointment times are currently full at the Chapin Memorial Library location. You may wish to try alternative locations for your tax preparation.
   
   

   AARP Foundation Tax-Aide offers free tax preparation to anyone of any age - especially if you are 50 or older or can't afford paid tax preparation.

   We will begin processing 2023 tax returns on Monday, February 5, 2024 through April 8, 2024. Appointments are available from 9:30am-2:00pm. Appointments are encouraged but we will try to accommodate walk-ins, subject to availability.

   Once you make an appointment, go to the Library Customer Service desk and pick up an information envelope. You MUST complete all forms in the envelope prior to your appointment.

   We will only prepare Federal, South Carolina and North Carolina tax returns.

   Chapin Memorial Library hosts “Veterans Awareness Series 2024”

   Meet with Peer Support Specialist, Mr. Bernard McLeroy, from the Myrtle Beach Veterans Affairs Medical Clinic. This series is for veterans and their family members and friends. Topics range from counseling, re-entry, housing, mental health, education, compensation, and employment.
